A single seam is doing all the work on this one. It sweeps across the front in a long S, splitting the panel into two shapes that meet on a curve instead of a straight line. Curved seaming is harder to cut and harder to sew than a flat panel, and you can see where the money went — the bag has a waist, and it holds that shape whether it’s full or empty.
The colour is a deep golden ochre — warmer and considerably more saturated than a camel, and closer to honey than to tan. It sits beautifully against cream, chocolate, olive and denim, and it lifts a grey winter outfit in a way a neutral bag never does. It is not a brown bag, whatever the light in the photographs might suggest.
It carries two ways. The strap adjusts through leather keepers for shoulder height, and a longer strap is included that clips on for crossbody. Inside, a woven lining in a matching tone and a zipped pocket along one wall — enough structure for keys and a card case to stay where you left them.
One honest note: a light, warm colour like this shows marks more readily than a dark one, and the base takes the worst of it. Set it on a chair rather than a floor, and keep a dry cloth for the corners.
