Contrast Drawstring Bucket Bag with Detachable Strap in Brown

Most bucket bags pick one colour and stop there. This one runs chocolate on the body with cream on the straps and the drawstring, and the two-tone is the reason I took it. It reads as a decision rather than a default, and brown-and-cream sits under almost every coat that comes through the shop once the weather turns.

It carries two ways. The twin straps sit on the shoulder at a comfortable drop, and a separate brown strap is included that clips on for crossbody. That covers the days when you want your hands free for part of the afternoon and not the rest — which, if you are moving between Jamaica Center and anywhere else, is most days.

This is a faux leather bag, not hide, and I’d rather say so plainly than leave it sitting in a spec line. One thing about how it’s built: inside the structured outer shell there’s a soft gathered pouch that closes with its own cord, so the bag keeps its cylinder shape from the outside while the inside cinches down over whatever you’ve packed. It also means this is one open compartment with no pockets. Small things will find the bottom. Bring a pouch.
